See Color With Sound
Jun 16th, 2010 by admin

Have you ever wondered how people with vision impairment get dressed? How do they know what goes with what, what matches? Texture and touch can only tell so much but color has to be seen, not felt. In fact if a person is born blind, how do they know what a color is at all? It’s a labeling system almost entirely based on visual feedback. The Bright-F aims to translate that information into sounds.

It detects the brightness, saturation, and hue of color. You can sort thru like colors by organizing them in groups with similar tones. This is incredibly useful for washing basic garments because we all know a white undie doesn’t do so well with a red t-shirt.

Cool Colorful Coat Rack
Oct 10th, 2009 by admin

Let’s pretend for a moment that you live in the same state I do. Not the same state of mind, but the same physical location in the United States of America. I live in Minnesota. It is here on this ring of Earth that we have four very distinct seasons. For at least 2 of these seasons, we’ve got no use for a coat rack.* What does the rack look like then when you have no need for it?

What does the rack look like? Well! Funny you should ask. It looks so very nice, because it is the “Symbol” designed by none other than a mister David Scott. This rack is made to take hold of those months when the coat rack’s function is nil. It’s just so pretty on it’s own. But then of course it’s got Winter mode as well. 36″ wide, holds 75 pounds, and is made in monochrome aluminum or white with anodized colors.

*Unless you’re a fancy fellow or lady and need a place to hang your hat. And sometimes people put their shoes on there if they’ve been through a puddle. Dry time!

Cord Colors
May 23rd, 2009 by admin

So you’ve got cords. I know you do. Here’s the solution for you. That’s assuming you’ve got beef with cords! Which most people generally do at one time or another in their cordy lives. Here it is. It’s DOTZ. It’s made up of three different kinds of accessories: Dotz™ CordIdentifiers™, Dotz CordStraps™, and Dotz ™ CordWraps™. I imagine that you’re hardcore enough to guess which is which and what they do, generally. Worth it? Cute enough colors and icons?

Each of these thangs is reusable in one way or another. And I think the colors are pretty darn cute with those icons. Would they be helpful to you? I certainly wouldn’t mind a few of these if I were in an office environment where cords were an issue.

It will be useful for you who likes neat things, it works well if you have a dim area and you can’t really differentiate many (black) cord on the ground.

I imagine the makers of Dotz wouldn’t mind a bit of feedback on their dotty dot business, so speak candidly and without a dot of hesitation!
