No More Mag Racks, Only Stands
Jun 5th, 2009 by admin

I simply adore the eccentric style of Fredrik Färg. This time around he’s ready to woo the crowds with is magazine stand named Skyscrape. It’s like he wants to recreate an “architectural forest” around the room. For a person who likes to keep books neatly stacked, it would be a fetish nightmare, but for the whimsical…a visual treat!

Flowering Radiator

Housing copper piping, the main body is formed from 5mm aluminum sheets pressed to hold the copper pipe to work securely. The top reactive section made from Bimetal sheets react and flex outwards when heat is exerted from the radiator. Made from solid aluminum to give weight and stability, the base remains also a focal point of the design. Having undergone a two stage painting process to give a hardwearing high gloss finish, the radiator and color details catch the light and reflects the surrounding immaculately.

Knife Hooks
Apr 12th, 2009 by admin

The Knife Hooks are designed by TC Studio, a studio owned by industrial designer Tianyi Chang. The Knife Hooks are easy to install, simply screw the hooks into the wall and you’ll have a very funny way to hang your clothes. They are available in matte black only. But I think maybe they should also make the one with the metallic finish to make it even more realistic. Dare to throw a real knife on your wall?

Diagonal Faucet
Apr 4th, 2009 by admin

So if you are here and your are looking for something unique to make your bathroom really cool, then this faucet design might be something you are looking for. Octopus Design, in collaboration with Bruno Sacco of Hansa, former head of Mercedes-Benz design designed the HansaLatrava faucet. According to Octopus Design. “It is a formal sculpture which has never been seen before. It is for those who don’t see a boundary as an end, but always as the start of something new.” The designers have eliminated knobs and pulls which would distract from its sculpture-like form. Instead, HansaLatrava features an on/off button and LED water temperature indicators. Though these are increasingly common in our high tech world, this seems to be a first in faucet design.

No Wall, Only Partition Home
Mar 23rd, 2009 by admin

Without compromising on privacy, the 4sides4home is an amazing interior option for those who have small apartments and even smaller families. The concept utilizes the given floor space optimally by doing away with the walls and incorporating partitions instead. Imagine a huge + (plus sign) on the floorplan where each wing is a specific room. What you design or expect from the modular room is up to you. For instance the four wings could each be a living room, a bedroom, a study and a dining room.

One of the objectives behind creating the 4sides4home was to keep electrical networks to the minimum. Additionally the plan also wants to create an environment that is conducive to easy WiFi streaming; this seems to be of prime importance to gadget-freak yuppies!
